Update

Well, everything worked out with the misspelled banners. The banners are hung beautifully in the church now...everyone loved them! (yeah, that feels good).

Things are stressful as I am trying to turn stuff in to be printed for next week. I just hope it all gets done. I'm so thankful for Flamingo Road Church...they have been so helpful!

Christmas is coming soon and I'm already starting to plan for it (marketing, advertising, visuals, etc.). I can't believe it, but I think it's gonna be awesome this year...better than ever! (let's hope.)

Oh...spelling.

Lesson of the day: Don't assume others know how to spell as brilliantly as you do.

I made that mistake a couple days ago and now it's kicking me in the butt. I assumed someone (*cough* Andrew *cough* Strickland *cough*) could spell the word "Dining". I was stupid enough to let him send a file to my printer (who is already doing me a huge favor) without me proofing it first.

Big no-no.

I saw it today for the first time and realized it was spelled "Dinning". The banners are already printed. And now we are paying extra to get them re-printed.

It's not Andrew's fault...he's a graphic designer and graphic designers don't need to know how to spell for their profession (although, it would be very helpful!). It's totally my fault.

So, maybe the lesson should be this: Always proof everything before it gets printed. Don't just assume that everything looks right and is spelled correctly.

Oy!

I now have three jobs...

As if my life wasn't busy enough...I've taken a job on the side of my "real" job. I'm now selling *link edited --> Mary Kay products. I just want some extra cash so we can save more money for a condo that we're hopefully buying in the next 1-3 months.

Getting organized

We have lots of projects going on here. So, I've made a timeline for each "big" project so that our team can meet deadlines better and our process can become more of a system.

Here is what the timeline looks like.

Trying to keep a team of men organized is like trying to lick peanut butter from the roof of your mouth. IT'S HARD!

Off the subject, here is an interesting post about a 72ft replica of the Statue of Liberty, made by a church in Memphis. All I have to say is..."ew".

Those covert teenagers

This has nothing to do with anything, but I read it in this cool blog I found called Church Relevance.

This post I read talks about teens who use a high frequency ring tone on their cell phones so that their teachers, parents, etc. can't hear them. It's very clever.

Can you feel the Heat?

The Heat NEED to win!!! Hometown love...

I'm going out of town for a couple days for my 1 year anniversary...so excited!

The 7NOW website is nearing completion...I am so excited to get it done. Hopefully I won't have to make too many changes. I'll post the link next week sometime.

So far my new planner has made me a very successful date-keeper. No double-booking...yet. I love walking around with it, acting like I'm a professional. It feels good.
